Wisdom Tooth Removal

WHAT IS IT?

Wisdom teeth come in when you’re older, around ages 17 to 21. These teeth are in the very back of your mouth. You get two on top and two on the bottom as part of a complete set of 32 adult teeth. The growth of wisdom teeth can be a discomfort for a person as they grow at a very later stage. It leads to damage, pain and improper placement of teeth.

NEED FOR THE REMOVAL

Wisdom teeth removal may be necessary if you experience changes in the area of those teeth, such as:

Pain
Trapping food and debris behind the wisdom tooth
Infection or gum disease
Tooth decay in a partially erupted wisdom tooth
Damage to a nearby tooth or surrounding bone
Development of a fluid-filled sac (cyst) around the wisdom tooth
Complications with orthodontic treatments to straighten other teeth
